Town Meeting Feb. 2, 2010: Several years ago, Alameda County created a conceptual plan for pedestrian improvements for the downtown Sunol area. They have recently received grants to proceed and would like to quickly turn the plan into reality. Find out more at the town meeting: 7pm Feb. 2 at the Sunol Glen School. The Sunol Community Foundation is in the process of being incorporated as a nonprofit public benefit corportation. Information on the foundation will be be posted here. The parking area on Main and Kilkare (near the Park entrance) is in need of rehabilitation. A working drawing and related project ideas are available here. This design is was developed by the Friends of the Park. |

The
Sunol Repertory Theatre, an all volunteer group, produces a melodrama
play
each spring. The 2010 performances of "She Was Only Marginally Modest"
will run from March 6through March 27. Click

Save
Our Sunol (SOS) is a local grassroots organization dedicated to
the preservation and enhancement of the unique resources in the rural area
of Sunol. The group has been fending off a brutal quarry expansion for over
seven years. Site updated regularly - visit often! |
The
Sunol Glen Unified School District
is a highly regarded and very unique, one-school school district. The school
has a grand total of about 200 students (grades K-8). Open

Since
1885, the Little
Brown Church has been an integral part of the community. In addition
to Sunday Service and weddings, the church sponsors a variety of youth and
community groups. |

the Elliston Vineyards tasting
room to sample a wide variety of wines. Elegant winetaster dinners are
hosted Fri. and Sat. evenings in the adjoining Victorian mansion, as well
as many special events. |
Every
year, the Sunol
4-H Club members bring home numerous awards for their animals from
the county fair. They also work on many other projects including computers,
drama, leadership and sign language. |
The Sunol
Business Guild is dedicated to improving and maintaining the
Town of Sunol and community. |
